Truck for Orphans in South Africa  -For the Life of a Child-

Thank you for all those that contributed to this cause we were able to raise all the money needed for this truck.

Tens of thousands of South African children have been orphaned by the widespread AIDS epidemic. We saw firsthand some of the great poverty and hunger experienced by these innocent children when we lived there for a year and a half. We became acquainted with a reliable couple of modest means who use their own car to collect and distribute food donated from local grocery stores to about 90 orphans. In many cases, this is the orphans’ only food. More food is available for the couple to distribute to the needy, but they can only carry as much as can fit into the trunk of their car. We are working through an NGO to purchase a small, used truck that will be used to transport more food to many more of these suffering children.
